Peggy Anderson believes writing should be FUN!
She does a variety of workshops for kids in schools and libraries based on the Six Trait Model, if teachers so desire. Students choose the Five Last Words in the World, craft Sniglets, or write a Space Odyssey based on a bag of popcorn characters.
In other workshops, students travel via Time Machine (back in history or forward to the future). They transmogrify to animals and experience an adventure. Or they discover a mysterious clue in the classroom that leads them on a journey of imagination. Her classes are based on the premise that creative PREWRITING leads to lively story writing.
By the end of a creative writing workshop with Peggy, your students will be deep in the midst of writing their own unique story -- and enjoying it!
